Get rid of the licence fee!

This blog is about video podcasting (or video on demand as it is sometimes called) and its role in avoiding the TV Licence Fee for UK residents. I aim to cover the practical, technical, political and legal aspects of this technology. Some discussion of the cultural and social aspects of podcasting will no doubt be included along the way. Discussion of programme content is extensively covered elsewhere and will not be the focus. Input is welcome from all.
Disintermediation:
A process by which the consumer bypasses the services of an intermediary or intermediaries in the chain of distribution, in order to access products direct from those who produce them.
